Born in Quito, Ecuador, 1962. I have lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for ten years. I received my M.F.A. from the University of Cincinnati and currently teach clay and photography at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
I have exhibited my work in several galleries in the USA as well as Ecuador. My deep interest in the origin and the creation of the human being has taken me through different phases.
One of these phases is my series of black and white photography printed on porcelain. A study of human sensuality that corresponds to the curves of the nature of our libido. Nude bodies; high contrast of Dark and Light; our minds are able to imagine what we desire, becoming "voyeurs" of our own dreams.
My second series is about the beginnings of life and the duality throughout. The forms are all in motion... evolving, transforming... representing the constant universal flow of energy, the intimate relationship between earth and humans. Ceramic sculptures that talk about relationships, the need of fulfillment, the "womb", "detachment", "self-fulfillment", all of us being influenced by natural forces such as the wind, the water and the fire, Us and our relationship with nature and the sensuality within itself. Plaster figures represent the harmony of this relationship; the enlightment of human beings.

Vivo en la ciudad de Cincinnati, Ohio, desde hace diez años. Recibí mi Master en Bellas Artes en la Universidad de Cincinnati, y actualmente enseño Cerámica y Fotografía en la Academia de Arte de la misma ciudad.
Mi obra se ha exhibido en varias galerías de los EEUU y de Ecuador. Mi profundo interés en el origen del ser humano me ha llevado a explorar diferentes fases.
Una de estas fases es mi serie de fotografías en blanco y negro impresas en porcelana o papel: un estudio de la sensualidad humana que corresponde a las curvas de la naturaleza de nuestro libido. Cuerpos desnudos; alto contraste claro-oscuro; nuestra mente es capaz de imaginar los más íntimos deseos personales, convirtiéndonos en "voyeurs" de nuestros propios sueños.
Mi segunda serie trata sobre los principios de la vida y de la dualidad a traves de ella. Las formas están en movimiento... evolucionando, transformándose... representando el constante flujo universal de energía, la íntima relación entre tierra y seres humanos. Esculturas de cerámica que representan las relaciones humanas, la necesidad de realización, "womb" (matriz), "detachment" (desprendimiento), "self-fulfillment" (autorealización), todos nosotros influenciados por fuerzas naturales como el viento, el agua y el fuego. Nosotros, nuestra relación con la naturaleza y la sensualidad implícita. Figuras de yeso representan la armonía en esa relación; la claridad de conciencia en los seres humanos.
